Problems to think about...

1. Why do we see so many religion based communal riots but not as many caste based riots?

2. Why are we repeatedly getting a hung parliament?
Is "hung parliament" a problem? Is there a defect in our democratic system?
If yes, then what is the core issue and how can we correct it?
If no, then how can a stable government be formed in a hung parliament?
Are such outcomes healthy for a democracy to thrive or is it a symptom of a faulty system? If its is a healthy outcome then how to make a stable gov. while still reaping the benefits of a true democracy albeit with a divided mandate.

3. Is Democracy or the "rule of majority" the best system possible?

  1. Well, if you are complaining boss that we don't have rights on Caste, I think the wish is going to be fulfilled pretty soon, when I came across this website I was shocked as hell, that such a huge disintegrative force could be active in India...

Here is the website, read any post and then read the replies to posts...

And about democracy I would say this site would change your perception of a lot of things...

I don't believe in Democracy personally, it's like a lollypop, which looks good but doesn't fill your stomach, just lures you... It's ineffective in India, just contrast it with China and it doesn't take much analysis to see, which proved better in a given period of time...

And well as far as Parliament is considered, I have to go by my first instinct. if it doesn't reflect on the ground, no work is done... So I don't believe the parliament is any good as a democracy based decision making body, it is blatantly insufficient to solve the grass root problems, and that's the bottom line...
